A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Annamalai University and Attadus Inc., USA and M/s Divote Private Ltd., Chennai here on 14 November 2017, Tuesday.
The MoU was signed by Mr Shrinath Sundaram, Director, Attadus Inc., USA and Dr K. Arumugam, Registrar, Annamalai University in the presence of Dr S. Manian, Vice Chancellor, Annamalai University. With this MoU, Annamalai University and Attadus Inc. will undertake curriculum and Faculty development in Pilot training, advanced avionics and aerospace technologies as well as Avionics Medicine.
“This initiative demonstrates Attadus Inc. commitment’s continually works with academic institutions to innovate in skill training and to widen the talent pool in India,” said Shrinath. With the agreement, Attadus will collaborate with AU to undertake cutting edge research in avionics industry and avionics Medicine.
Dr S. Manian, Vice Chancellor, Annamalai University, in supporting Attadus Inc.’s effort noted, “I see this as the continuation of a valuable partnership to further raise the level of education at Annamalai University.”
Attadus Inc. Joined with their Indian partner Divote Pvt Ltd, Chennai provide technical assistance to AU to establish world-class infrastructure which includes, but is not limited to, an avionics integration bench, setting up flight simulators and provide other hardware and software required for conducting pilot training, communication, navigation and surveillance and also development of new prototype in avionics medicine jointly. At the end of this three-year agreement, the partners may agree to extend the relationship and broaden the scope of collaboration. Notably, Attadus Inc. will also extend its facilities to research student through internship opportunities. It will also develop courseware, train the trainers and provide sustained support during the course of agreement.
It begins with cooperation between Centre for Skill Development and Centre for Biomedical Engineering , Annamalai University and Attadus Inc. USA and Divote Pvt Ltd., Chennai. Dr V. Arutchelvan, Director, Centre for Skill Development, Dr J.Krishnan, Director, Centre for Biomedical Engineering and Dr R.Malathi, Head, Division of Telemedicine and Biomedical Engineering represent Annamalai University and Ms. Sudatta Mukherjee, Vice-president of Attadus Inc. and Divote Pvt Ltd represent the Industry.
